Two Days With ICEAGE

These are a few photos from a couple of days spent with the best band in Denmark, and contender for band of the year, IceAge. I had no camera with me and had to borrow one from my friend's room mate. Oh well, at least they document two fucking amazing days in Leeds.

Thanks to Sam, Harry, Elias, Johan, Jochim, Jakob and Dan

LOVE BITTEN, FUCK RIDDEN - Photozine

My first solo photozine - LOVE BITTEN, FUCK RIDDEN - MILK, HONEY, SPIT & SAWDUST is available for order. it's completely free, I'll even post it to you. The first batch of 100 has already been earmarked but get in touch for YOUR copy of the next hundred.

This project groups together all the prime candidates from almost a year of taking photos. Shot mostly on film, with the odd digital frame thrown into the mix, LOVE BITTEN chronicles desperate times, intimate scenarios, drugs, sex, the lowest moments following the loftiest peaks, personality fault lines, disinterest, but most importantly, love and friendship.

Drop me a comment here, email me at thexreckoner@live.co.uk or message me on facebook - www.facebook.com/diamondsyndrome to get a copy.

Here are a few previews;

Bloody chests and the first Bathory record.

Went out on Wednesday to my friends party and one of the guys there called Kenny started cutting himself so I grabbed a camera. People were possibly more freaked out by me photographing him rather than his own self mutilation.

We don't know you, and we don't owe you. If you see us around, I got something else to show you.

Richard is the best because he lets me use his camera on the odd occassion. I learn a lot from him even though we both approach photography from different standpoints. I took most of these during a weird period where I believed I was laying on the floor of a disco. The quote of that evening went to Adam Lond, as at one point he stood up and announced to the room "Cornflower is the consistency of my brain." Other great Adam quotes from that particular chapter include "This arm is not my own," "My brain is termites," and "Can my brain drown?"

The Grimsby Redemption

I was with the guys a couple of weeks ago. I shot on Richard's camera which was cool and also shot a roll of 27 on a £3 FUJIFILM DISPOSABLE. Too cheap. A few of the shots came out alright. I love taking photos of Sam Tarrant, that lad has more personality than you can shake a stick at.

Last month we filmed the From A City In Ruins music video with Fil Thorpe and some guy who's name I've forgot who shot Ellie Goulding's album cover or some shit. He was cool. I took a Flip video camera with me and had Nathan shoot some behind the scenes hijinks.

Grimsby - January

Went to Grimsby to see Richard, Adam, Nathan, Sam, Brad, Jacques and the rest of the crew. I fucking love those guys. There are always so many opportunities to take good photos. This lot have quickly become very dear to me.
